Talent, Training & Operations Coordinator

RISE Services is seeking a Talent, Training & Operations Coordinator to support interviewing, hiring, employee onboarding, orientation, training, technology setup, and office operations.

This position is based primarily in our Martinsburg, West Virginia office and requires travel to our Front Royal, Virginia office approximately once per week. Occasional travel to Harrisonburg, Fredericksburg, Warrenton, and other RISE Services locations is also required.

What You’ll Do

Interviewing and Hiring

  • Review applications and conduct structured first-round interviews.
  • Evaluate candidates using established qualifications and hiring criteria.
  • Prepare objective interview notes and hiring recommendations.
  • Make hiring decisions for certain Employment Specialist vacancies when authorized based on current staffing needs.
  • Refer other candidates to leadership for additional interviews or final review.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with applicants.
  • Update candidate information in JazzHR.
  • Assist with employment offers, background checks, pre-employment requirements, and new-hire scheduling.

Onboarding, Orientation, and Technology

  • Coordinate and implement an organized new-hire onboarding process.
  • Schedule and facilitate portions of employee orientation.
  • Prepare orientation materials, presentations, checklists, and training resources.
  • Help ensure workspaces, equipment, email, Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, training platforms, and other required systems are ready before employees begin work.
  • Help new employees access and navigate required technology.
  • Follow up regarding missing documents, incomplete assignments, or unresolved technology needs.
  • Communicate onboarding progress and concerns to leadership.

Training Development and Tracking

  • Develop and update presentations, training guides, quizzes, competency assessments, and staff resources.
  • Help turn policies and service requirements into practical employee training.
  • Coordinate initial, annual, refresher, and role-specific training.
  • Maintain the training calendar and monitor certification-renewal deadlines.
  • Track training completion and required documentation.
  • Send staff reminders and follow-up emails regarding upcoming or overdue requirements.
  • Escalate unresolved training requirements to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Prepare training-compliance reports and organize records for audits and accreditation reviews.

Office and Vehicle Operations

  • Help maintain the organization, cleanliness, and professional appearance of the Martinsburg and Front Royal offices.
  • Perform light office cleaning, including straightening shared areas, wiping surfaces, organizing materials, and emptying small trash receptacles.
  • Prepare workspaces and training areas for interviews, orientation, meetings, and training.
  • Monitor basic office and training supplies.
  • Identify and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns.
  • Transport the assigned company vehicle to Warrenton, Virginia, for scheduled maintenance approximately once per quarter or as needed.
  • Maintain vehicle-service documentation and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.

  • Is comfortable sending reminders and following up on incomplete requirements
  • Can assist employees with basic technology setup and access
  • Notices operational problems and works to resolve them
  • Is willing to perform light cleaning and help keep offices organized
  • Is comfortable traveling regularly between West Virginia and Virginia
  • Handles confidential information responsibly

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of related experience in interviewing, training, onboarding, human resources, administration, customer service, office operations, human services, or a similar field preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Experience with JazzHR, Monday.com, Microsoft 365, training development, employee orientation, applicant tracking, human services, Medicaid-funded programs, or CARF accreditation is a plus.

Important Position Information

  • Primary work location: Martinsburg, WV
  • Travel to Front Royal, VA: approximately once per week
  • Occasional travel: Harrisonburg, Fredericksburg, Warrenton, and other RISE Services locations
  • Company vehicle maintenance in Warrenton: approximately quarterly or as needed
  • Schedule: primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends
  • This position does not supervise employees

The Talent, Training & Operations Coordinator may make certain authorized hiring decisions, facilitate training, communicate deadlines, and escalate incomplete requirements. The position does not discipline, schedule, or supervise employees.
